One corridor. Thirteen places. A region connected.
Lake Norman did not grow in isolation. The Catawba River, railroads, Interstate 77 and older state roads tied the lake’s communities to Statesville, the Wilkesboros and the Blue Ridge. This collection follows those connections without flattening them into a single route: first the shoreline network, then the northbound hinge at Statesville, and finally the foothills fork toward Boone and West Jefferson.
